The project was developed and led from the 1970s to 2023 by Principal Investigator, Professor Dame Rosemary Cramp. Since 2023, the project has continued to be led from Durham University by Professor Sarah Semple together with Professor Jane Hawkes, University of York and Professor Joanna Story, University of Leicester.
