The Corpus Team
The Corpus Team
The project was developed and led until 2023 by Principal Investigator, Professor Dame Rosemary Cramp. Since then the project has continued to be led from Durham University under the leadership of Professor Sarah Semple, supported by Co-Investigators and authors Professor Jane Hawkes, University of York and Professor Joanna Story, University of Leicester.
The development of the online Corpus was significantly advanced and supported by Ms Sarah Price who remains a consultant on the project. Dr Celia Orsini and Dr Tudor Skinner (both Durham University researchers) joined the project in 2018-19 and have supported both the online Corpus, and advanced the completion of fieldwork and archival research for the final volume in the series. Dr Helen Gittos also joined the team in 2018 as a Co-Investigator contributing to workshops and publications. In collaboration with the Archaeology Data Service, led by Co-Investigator Professor Julian Richards, University of York, the project has developed a new sustainable home for the online catalogues which will be made available in 2026.
